I've updated the software with the latest bug-fixes to the message board software.  It may or may not have contained a fix for the vanishing posts problem--that wasn't a specifically addressed issue in the list of fixes.  However, I was able to make a dozen or so test posts and comments, as both myself and anonymously, with nothing vanishing (until I deleted them). 
I'm hoping it is fixed, but there really is no way to tell other than using it. If you see any of your message posts vanish, please let me know.  My phone number is at the bottom of the last couple of newsletters, or email Charles@GFSSC.NET

There were 2 posts here that were duplicates of the ones in the Rules Clarification thread.  I deleted the ones here so they would't be in two places.   So... gone but my doing, not vanished.

I attended an orientation, & have witnesses that I did so.  Later, I recieved a notification that the orientation was mandatory for 2010 membership.  That notification made me wonder if my attendence "fell through a crack", or what?  Is there a means to check on this site?
By the way, the verification process is not satisfactory.  The more times it fails me, the nastier these comments are gonna get.

 The orientation class notification was combined with the annual meeting notification, and sent to everyone.  It was cheaper to do it that way than to send separate mailings, with orientation notices only going to those who hadn't attended yet. As long as you filled out a form (legibly) at your orientation, you shouldn't have to worry.
No, there is no self-service way for you to check this on line.  I'm not confident enough in the hack-proofness of this bargain basement web site to put the kind of membership information that would require on here.

The captcha is annoying, I absolutely agree.  It does have the benefit of being effective, and (probably most important), free.  If you think you will be a regular contributor, we can set you up with an account that will let you bypass the graphical verification step.  If not, or if you'd rather just make nastier comments, that'll work too.
